New Hambo Event

Hey there!

You will have to visit the Hambo Blog to see what they are up to tomorrow! They have a special event that sounds very fun and I know I will be participating as often as I can!

What a great idea Tim and Monica have come up with....

I will see you there!

Drumroll...please

The first ever Hambo Sketch Challenge is officially in the books.

Who won you say? Well, first I have to tell a quick story of how the winner was chosen...

I diligently wrote down all of the names on pieces of paper, folded them into small squares and tossed them on the table in front of my cat Eleanor. She promptly swatted the folded pieces of paper (a.k.a. cat toys in her mind) and picked one up in her mouth....

The winner is.........

Libby!

If you will email Monica at Hambo Stamps and give her your addy, she will get your packet of Hambo GOLD on its way to your door!

Congratulations to you and a HEAPING thanks to everyone who participated! The cards were AWESOME!!!!!

Don't forget to check out the new blog addy and get working on your next challenge!

Design Team Challenge

Hambo Stamps recently issued a challenge to the design team members to come up with a card inspired by a song...using Hambo Stamps of course!!

Being a classical music lover, I am not super familiar with the pop/rock/country music titles, so my first card was inspired by an aria from the opera Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo. Loosely translated, the title means "the clowns." Therefore I decided to use Hambo's cool digi-stamp of the clowns. I used the first few words of the aria "vesti la giubba" (put on your costumes) to help explain things a bit.

My second card was inspired by the song "Sea of Love" by the Honeydrippers...an oldie goldie, but I immediately thought of the cool ocean and fish digi stamps. I wish you could see the sparkle of the Copic Spica markers used... The hearts were hand drawn....
