Card Backlog!

It has been a while since I posted cards here. I have been making them, but finding time to post them has been challenging. Therefore, I am posting a bunch of cards made in the past few months with you today.

The first card is one using a commissioned digital stamp from Hambo Stamps. I sure miss their company's stamps! The image is a caricature of the Bedford County Courthouse in Shelbyville, TN. I love that it still represents the stateliness of the courthouse without going to cartoonish!

This one features a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I think it is a retired image, but I think it is so cute!

This cat card was made for my uncle's birthday. I love the cats in this set! I am not sure of the company for this one. I got it online.

This was for a friend. I believe the stamps are from an older Stampin' Up set.  Loved the colors on this one.

Another birthday card for a friend. I am pretty sure this is also an older Stampin' Up stamp. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Baby Birthday

This card was made for a friend to give his grandson.  I used a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil and had a lot of fun coloring him.  I found the "cutesy" sea critter paper and thought it would go perfectly with this fella in his wading pool.

Birthday Girls

These cards were made for a co-worker to give to family.  I used two digital images from Mo Manning.  I see myself in the first image...I used to do love blowing on the dandelions and watching them fly away.  I still do when I get the chance!

Boy Pilot

This card was made for a co-worker to give to a family member.  I decided that the colored pencils on kraft paper would give this a nice vintage look.  I am really proud of how my coloring turned out on this one.  It took me some getting used to since I normally color with the Copics.  This is a digital image from Mo Manning.

Penguin Christmas Card

This is the card I made to hold my Christmas present for my two nieces.  I had been wanting to use this digital image by Mo Manning for some time and finally got around to coloring it up. I love the way it turned out!

Pet Sympathy

This was made for someone that recently lost their beloved dog.  I used a photo of their pet to try to color it as much like them as possible. I was told they really loved the card, so I am happy I could help them out during a difficult time.  The image is by Mo Manning.  The sentiment is an unmounted stamp (company unknown).

This card was made at the request of a co-worker for a grandson who will be celebrating a birthday soon.  The digital image is by Mo Manning.  I kept it simple so that the image was the focus!

Happy Birthday to my Brother

Okay...so my brother's birthday was back in October...forgot that I never posted this one!  I absolutely love the way this one turned out.  I once again used watercolors instead of my Copic markers.  He has always been a fan of the Indiana Jones movies and loves books about exploration, so I couldn't resist using this adorable image from Mo Manning.  It was perfect and he loved it!

Birthday Girl

The daughter of one of my former co-workers had a birthday a few weeks ago and I made this card for her.  I wanted something really girly and sweet.  This image from Mo Manning was perfect!  I kept it super simple and let the image shine.

Beach Bum

I think this is one of my favorite cards of late...this cute digi image by Mo Manning is adorable.  This was a requested card creation and I think it turned out awesome!  I kept the colors a bit soft and had fun playing around with the browns and the Spica markers to try to re-create the sand. I may have to duplicate this one sometime to keep!

My mom needed a card to send someone she knows who has a little boy and I chose this Bubble Boy image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I think he is so cute! The train paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Little Handyman

My step-father's birthday is this week, so I made this fun birthday card for him.  He is a handyman in real life, so I decided to use this adorable digi from Mo's Digital Pencil for his card.  I had this saw blade paper in my stash from a few years ago and thought it would make the perfect background.  I also used some screw head brads that I have had for some time as well.  I used my new camera to take the photo of this picture and it is interesting to note that it picks up the sparkle in the paper I used!  I have never had that show up before!  I guess I will need to find a different lighting setup to minimize it so that the picture is nice and clear!

Bird in Hand

This card was made for my aunt Mary...who LOVES birds!  This sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil was just the thing to make her a card.  AND....this was my first project sewing on a card.  I have always done stitching of the "faux" variety, but I purchased myself a small light duty sewing machine and was anxious to do what everyone has been doing for some time.  I am always behind!

I wanted to keep the colors soft and have a quilt look to it, so the stitching and these coordinating papers did the trick!  I think this is one of my favorites.  I love how it turned out!!!

I know....I am behind on posting!  It has been crazy busy at work and I have had two business trips, so the Copic QUALITY TIME has been far and few between!

This is a birthday card I made for my oldest niece Kaitlyn...I can't believe she is 17!!!  This is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil and I thought it was perfect for a young teen! She loves lots of color, so I decided to go a bit bolder than I normally go...yet it is still girly.
