You're Out of This World!

This is a fun birthday card for a former co-worker that is missed dearly!  I used a cute digi set from Hambo Stamps that has been on my "to do" list for some time, so I thought it would make a fun birthday card!  Sorry if the picture is a bit "wonky"...I am sleepy and didn't have the energy to get out my REAL camera to take a picture, so I used my phone.

The background paper is some from my stash, but I have long-since lost the strip that identifies the company....I thought it looked kinda out of spacey, so I went with it!

Miss our Chats

My mom requested a card to send to a former co-worker.  They used to sit and chat before work and my mom misses those chats.  She wanted something funny, so I used a digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.  The old ladies/gents are such fun!  This one actually came with a sentiment "If I was meant to pop out of bed in the morning, I'd live in a toaster!"  Instead, I substituted one that was fitting for this particular card.

My Little Pony

Over on the Dustin Pike Blog, he was asking for folks to make a card for a young girl that has been battling leukemia.  You use one of his digis and create a card for her...and you get the rest of the set free!  I am all about free things, but to do something special for this young girl is just the right thing to stamps or not!  I decided to go the route of "My Little Pony" and made it whimsical coloring rather than realistic....I think it is just perfect for a young girl and I hope it makes her smile!

Little Handyman

My step-father's birthday is this week, so I made this fun birthday card for him.  He is a handyman in real life, so I decided to use this adorable digi from Mo's Digital Pencil for his card.  I had this saw blade paper in my stash from a few years ago and thought it would make the perfect background.  I also used some screw head brads that I have had for some time as well.  I used my new camera to take the photo of this picture and it is interesting to note that it picks up the sparkle in the paper I used!  I have never had that show up before!  I guess I will need to find a different lighting setup to minimize it so that the picture is nice and clear!

Adjust your Sails

I needed a maculine birthday card for a relative and was pressed for time, so I decided to go with this sailboat digi from The Wax Fruit Company.  It is simple, but elegant and quick to color!  The sentiment is also by the Wax Fruit Company. I wanted some blue "ocean-y" paper, but all I could find in my stash was this paper from The Little Yellow Bicycle.  It is actually snowflake paper, but I am hoping no one will notice!  The colors were perfect with what I had in I went with it! Don'tcha love a world where all of the sails are alike?  LOL

Bird in Hand

This card was made for my aunt Mary...who LOVES birds!  This sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil was just the thing to make her a card.  AND....this was my first project sewing on a card.  I have always done stitching of the "faux" variety, but I purchased myself a small light duty sewing machine and was anxious to do what everyone has been doing for some time.  I am always behind!

I wanted to keep the colors soft and have a quilt look to it, so the stitching and these coordinating papers did the trick!  I think this is one of my favorites.  I love how it turned out!!!

Calgon....Take Me AWAY!

First...I have to apologize for the slightly blurry picture...I forgot to take a picture before I left for the post office to mail this I had to take a picture on the fly with my phone camera.  Thought I had it focused...but alas, I missed the mark a bit.  Hopefully it is good enough to get the gist!

This card was made for my sister-in-law's birthday.  When I saw this image from Prairie Fairy Designs, I always think of the old commercial saying "Calgon...Take Me Away."  Okay I guess that dates me...but SO WHAT! :-) I think we could ALL use a good bubble bath now and then...

Chatty Girl

I know....I am behind on posting!  It has been crazy busy at work and I have had two business trips, so the Copic QUALITY TIME has been far and few between!

This is a birthday card I made for my oldest niece Kaitlyn...I can't believe she is 17!!!  This is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil and I thought it was perfect for a young teen! She loves lots of color, so I decided to go a bit bolder than I normally go...yet it is still girly.
