Party Sheep!

Another fun set of stamp from Hambo Stamps! The party sheep are hysterical! The paper is by Cosmo Cricket. I adore their paper! Such fun colors, but with a vintage feel to them. I used my nestabilities for the circles. Ribbon is from my stash.

Copic Colors Used:
Sheep: W0, W3, W5, W7
Party Hat: R32, R35, R37; YG13

What's up Chick?

This card features several stamps from Hambo Stamps that I just adore! What a fun set of "chicks" these are! What a perfect card to send someone just to say hello! The paper is by Basic Gray...it is older paper called Recess. Even though it features numbers as the background, I thought it had a chicken wire kind of look to it that would be perfect for my chicks!

Copic Colors Used:
Chick #1: E11, E13, E15, E17, E19
Chick #2: YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24

Happy Hamiversary!

This card is for my grandparents 68th wedding anniversary. Amazing!

The stamp and sentiment are from Hambo Stamps. I think it is such a cute image. I cut out the shake and the bow and popped them up to give it some dimension. The images are colored with Copic markers. I used some paper and ribbon from my stash as well as the hearts cuttlebug embossing folder and some dew drops. The tag is from a die by Sizzix.

Copic Colors Used:

Stay Cool!

This combo of a digi-stamp and a two traditional stamps from Hambo Stamps was too good to pass up! The digital stamp of the winter scene complete with igloo and iceberg was probably not meant to be used in this way, but what fun is it if you do things the TRADITIONAL way all the time????? The snorkel boy is sitting exactly where I would like to be.... I am SO NOT a hot weather person, so this is my idea of a perfect way to stay cool!

I used the cuttlebug water drops embossing folder and finished it off with some cool ribbon from my stash.

Copic Colors Used:
Flippers/Snorkel: Y32, Y35, Y38
Swim Trunks: B60, B63, B66

Igloo/Iceberg/"Snow": C0, C1, C2

Popsicle Stand Drama

This stamp from Hambo Stamps is such a fun one! I kept the card simple so the image was front and center! I added the big popsicle as an homage to what was no longer available at the stand! In real life, I would be the one emptying the wrappers! The paper was from a summer stack of patterned paper and I used the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder for the "grass."

Copic Colors Used:
Popsicle: R32, R35, R37

In Memoriam: T. Scott Cunningham

One of my dear friends from high school passed away recently. I remember him most from my high school band days. He was one of the snare drummers and was always well respected.

T. Scott Cunningham was a year older than me and I have very fond memories of him. Not only was he a very successful percussionist in the band, he was also an extremely talented actor. He was always one of the shining lights in the Shelbyville Central High School productions. The one that stands out in my mind was "The King and I." I always knew that he would go on to be a great success, and he did.

I was looking through some of my high school memorabilia and found this fun photo of some of the band members after we won the MCI contest in 1980. Scott is at the bottom, 2nd from the left. What a celebration this was! The percussion section also won best in the competition...

Scott had many roles on the big screen and on television, but his passion was the theater. I wanted to create a very special sympathy card for his family and felt compelled to use one of the new digital stamps from Hambo Stamps. While their images are all humorous, I felt this one could be used in another way that would allow me to share my sympathy with the family, but also pay tribute to Scott and all that he left with us during his time here on earth.

Scott, may your spirit live on through all of the lives you touched.
