I Made a Design Team!!!

I am so excited I could dance a jig around my craft room! (That probably paints a pretty scary picture for those of you who know me!)

As of June 1st, I am an official design team member for Hambo Stamps! They are a company in Richmond, Virginia owned by Monica and Tim Hunter and they have some of the cutest stamps! Tim does the drawings and Monica does the sentiments. You have got to check out the hysterical sayings available in this whimsical line of stamps.

They even have some digital stamp images available in Tim's Etsy shop.

I can't wait to create some more fun cards with their stamps!

'Bun' Voyage

This is my first "official" sample as a new design team member for Hambo Stamps! I am so excited about this new opportunity I can't sit still! The image on this card is one of the digital stamps drawn by Tim at Hambo Stamps. It is available online at his Etsy shop. You will have to check out some of the other cool images available there!

I had such a blast coloring this one. I think my Copic markers went into over-time doing this card! The roofs of the buildings are cut out and popped up, but it doesn't show up as much as I would like on this image. It really gives the card some dimension. I also colored all of the windows with a yellow Spica marker and they really sparkle, but alas, that does not come through on the image. The paper is some Bo-Bunny I had in my stash.

I also used the Cuttlebug Textile Texture embossing folder.

Rainy Day Fun

I made this card for an online challenge at the Copic Creations site. I have been wanting to color this image in the new Magnolia collection for a bit, but was looking for the right paper as a starting point. The paper is from my stash and is by Heidi Grace Designs. The challenge for this one was "blonde hair." I went a little darker with the hair, (it scanned darker than in real life) but I think it turned out nice! Of course it is colored with Copic markers. I also used the Cuttlebug "Spots and Dots" embossing folder.

Lighthouse Sympathy

I was asked to make a sympathy card for a man and I always struggle with that. It needed to be a larger card with room for multiple signatures, so that even made it more of a challenge... I finally decided to use this lighthouse stamp by Impression Obsession. I used my copic markers to color it. This was also the first time I have used my airbrush system. It didn't work as I wished it to on its maiden voyage, but for a sky....it worked nicely!

In the background, I used several different colors of paper, rice paper and mesh. I tore the edges to look like the ocean. I thought the end result was especially nice and I hope the recipient finds some solace in the card.

More Eye Candy Coming Soon!

I know it looks like I haven't been making any cards lately, but most of them are Mother's Day cards and I can't post them until after they have been received by my family! I accidentally posted my brother's birthday card once BEFORE he actually got it on his birthday! OOPS!!! I am trying not to make that mistake again. Sooo...after Sunday I will post my latest creations!

Check out My New Place!

It was time for me to do some home decorating on my blog. I was trying to create my own with some digital papers, but I kept having problems with my header looking wonky... SO...I decided to do it the easy way and use a pre-made template I found for free online. I hope you like it. I may do some tweaking over the next week or so, but will "kick the tires" for a bit and see if it works!
