Card Backlog - Penny Black Stamps

 I have recently made quite a few cards using the Penny Black Cling Stamps that I adore so much!

All of these were created using the MISTI Stamping Tool, Tombow Markers and a bit of the Stickles glitter glue to give them a bit of sparkle. I didn't get the chance to crop them all as usual, so please forgive me!  I wanted to get them all posted. The sentiments are from a variety of companies.

Card Backlog!

It has been a while since I posted cards here. I have been making them, but finding time to post them has been challenging. Therefore, I am posting a bunch of cards made in the past few months with you today.

The first card is one using a commissioned digital stamp from Hambo Stamps. I sure miss their company's stamps! The image is a caricature of the Bedford County Courthouse in Shelbyville, TN. I love that it still represents the stateliness of the courthouse without going to cartoonish!

This one features a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I think it is a retired image, but I think it is so cute!

This cat card was made for my uncle's birthday. I love the cats in this set! I am not sure of the company for this one. I got it online.

This was for a friend. I believe the stamps are from an older Stampin' Up set.  Loved the colors on this one.

Another birthday card for a friend. I am pretty sure this is also an older Stampin' Up stamp. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

 

Creativity Saturday!

I FINALLY got around to making some cards over the weekend!  My mom needed some for some church members and I got out my MISTI and had some fun!  All are using stamps from Penny Black. To color the images, I used Tombow Dual Brush pens and to stamp the sentiments, I used VersaFine Clair inks.

I had such a good time using these Penny Black stamps, I had to get some more.  As soon as they arrive, I will be back at it!

Baby Shower Goodies

My mom and I just recently went to a baby shower for my oldest niece. I made a card and mom and I had so much fun decorating the present. If someone had recorded us, they could have made money on America's Funniest Home Videos!  I spent most of my time inside the large box trying to tie knots in the string that we used as a "clothesline." What a hoot. The present got lots of fun comments at the shower!

Wow!  I didn't realize how long it has been since I have posted anything! My life has been so busy with work. I have also started online classes to receive a certification of American Records through the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. That has kept me very busy.

I haven't had much time to be "creative," but I will try to do better. I had to look WAY back in my photos to find any that I have not yet posted. Here they are!

The first one is a birthday card for my mom. I used a Mo's Digital Pencil image and colored it with colored pencils on craft paper. Her images are absolutely some of my favorite to color!!

The next card was for my brother's birthday (I think). He loves his comfy chair and these stamps from Rosie's Roadshow seemed to fit the bill.

This last one was my Christmas/Holiday Card for 2019. I can't remember the company who made the stamp. I needed something I could do quickly as I had many to send!

Zentangle Tile

Most of my friends know that I have been dabbling with Zentangle for quite some time. Up until this point, I haven't shared any of my tiles.  The process of Zentangle is very calming and a type of meditative drawing for me. It is also a very personal expression of a moment in time when the tile was created. I thought it was time to share with others. I love that there are endless possibilities and tangles that can be used.  Plus the names of the tangles (patterns) are very fun!  No matter what kind of crazy might be happening around me, when I focus on my tile, the whole world fades away and I become "one with the paper." I know that is cheesy...but it is true. I hope some day to take one of the official CZT training classes in Rhode Island.

Birthday Couple

My mom requested a card for a couple that shares the same birthday. I had fun coloring this Mo Manning digital stamp on kraft paper with my Polychromos pencils. Hope they continue to share many birthdays to come!

Tweet Birthday Card

I made this card for my mom's birthday.  I thought the image was so sweet. The digital stamp is from one of my favorite artists Mo Manning. She has such a variety of really unique images and they are so much fun to color! This one was printed on kraft paper and colored with my Polychromos colored pencils.

Stork Delivery

My mom asked for a card recently for a co-worker and I had some fun with this one.  The image is an old one I had printed out many years ago and had never completed. I can't remember which company...It was colored with Copic markers. I found the patterned papers, ribbon and buttons in my stash.

Kraft paper coloring

Made two new cards last week!  One was a fun birthday card and the other was for a friend.

On both of the cards, I decided to use kraft paper and use my prismacolor pencils to do the coloring.

For the birthday card, the stamps are from Paper Smooches.  On the inside it says "it's your birthday." I free-handed the coloring of the grass.  I didn't want them levitating in thin air...ha ha.

The second card uses a digital stamp that I printed on the kraft paper.  I think it is from the Wax Fruit Company.  I have had it quite a while.  I don't think they are in business anymore.  It is a shame...I really loved their digis! The sentiment is from Paper Smooches (I think...).  I truly enjoy the look you get with the colored pencils on the kraft paper.

And FINALLY...some new creations!!!

Now that I am settled, I am finally getting to play with some of the new stamps and dies I got in July.  I have been waiting to play with these for some time. Here are a few of the creations I made the other day.  Lots more to come!!!

Misti Stamp Tool Fun!

These were created after I got my Misti stamp tool.  I am amazed at the depth of images you can get with this fabulous tool!  It is great for all of those watercolor type stamps.  It had me resurrecting stamps I had not used for years!

Catching Up...Part 4

Wow...I didn't realize I had so many card photos on my phone!  Here are some more that were created sometime in the past few years that never made it to the web.

It is a hodge podge of dies, stamps and techniques.  The first one was my inaugural use of Brusho's.  Definitely need to play around with those some more!
